Jeffrey Anderson is a born-and-raised Los Angeles-based photographer. His accomplishments aside from photography include a BS in Computer Information Systems and an MBA from Pepperdine University. In August, he will begin a PhD program.
His father, a photo hobbyist who carried his camera everywhere, introduced him to photography at a young age. Jeff's lifelong passion for the art would be solidified at age 14 while taking a photography class at Richard Gahr High School. His mother helped him buy his first real camera, a Pentax ME Super.
Although Jeff has photographed a variety of subjects, his mother first inspired him to shoot doors. While preparing for one of his frequent trips to Brasil, she asked that he find some interesting doors to photograph.
Over the years, Jeff has continued to find inspiration in the character of his subject and the infinite possibilities of the stories of lives that lie beyond them.
It is the pursuit of these amazing doors that motivates Jeff to visit different parts of the world including Brasil, Germany, Italy, Columbia, Peru, France, Romania, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Belgium, Netherlands, Uruguay, Argentina, Mexico, Spain, Portugal, and Panama.
More beautiful and interesting doors are still out there to be revealed.
